So, I guess I never really explained the latest with Ethan. I took him to a doctors appointment, and I mentioned that he had a cold, but his breath seemed really sweet smelling. They asked about excessive thirst, and I told him that he constantly wants his cup refilled. So, they took his blood sugar and it was 171. Normal is 60-120, and his pediatrician doesn't want his blood sugar over 100. So, very high for a little boy that hasn't been diagnosed with Diabetes.
Long story short, we have to test his blood glucose (BG) level twice a day, his "fasting" in the morning (before eating or drinking anything) and then again approximately 2 hours after he eats.
We have been testing for a little under a week (my God, has it been that long?!?), and his "fasting" numbers a fairly normal, but his afternoons have still been high. So, I really don't know what they are going to do.
